Who we are

More than martial arts. A way of life.

JKDBD is a Dhaka-based training organisation dedicated to the principles and techniques of Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do. We teach the fundamentals properly, test them against resistance, and help each student develop a game that is genuinely their own.

The principles

The art of fighting without fighting.

Three ideas shape every session: keep it simple, move directly, and make the art your own.

01

Simplicity

Keep only what works. Remove wasted motion, hesitation, and decoration.

02

Directness

Intercept before the attack develops. The straight line is often enough.

03

Freedom of expression

No fixed imitation. Train until the response becomes honestly yours.

Training programs

Train your body. Sharpen your mind.

Six training tracks built around practical skill, clear feedback, and usable movement.

Jeet Kune Do Fundamentals

Striking & Trapping

Connect hands, feet, and trapping with structure instead of choreography.

Bruce Lee’s philosophy

Using no way as way, having no limitation as limitation.

Bruce Lee

At JKDBD, this principle lives in footwork, timing, and partner drills. Learn the structure, then learn when to let it go.

JKDBD is an independent training organisation. No affiliation with the Bruce Lee Estate is implied.

Why JKDBD

Built for the long game.

Practical skill, physical confidence, and a calmer mind — trained with intention.

01

Practical skill

Train responses that hold up under pressure — not routines built for a mirror.

02

Confidence & discipline

Build confidence through repetition, honest feedback, and the discipline of showing up.

03

Fitness & coordination

Develop strength, mobility, balance, and body awareness through martial arts movement.

04

Focus & awareness

Learn to read distance, intention, and tension — and stay calm enough to respond.

05

Authentic JKD

Simplicity, directness, and freedom of expression shape every session.

06

A supportive room

Serious training without ego. Beginners are guided, and progress stays personal.
